Corrections Policy
Errors happen. What matters is how a publication responds to them. Africa360 corrects errors promptly, transparently, and without defensiveness.
Types of Corrections
Factual Correction
A published fact was wrong — a name, date, statistic, or event. The article is updated and a correction note is appended at the bottom of the article, stating what was wrong and what the correct information is.
Clarification
The published information was accurate but ambiguous or potentially misleading. The article is updated for clarity and a clarification note is added explaining what was amended.
Update
Events have developed since publication, changing the context of the story. An update is added below the original content, timestamped, explaining what has changed.
Retraction
In rare cases where an article is found to be fundamentally inaccurate or the publication of the content was an error, the article is retracted. A retraction notice explaining the reason replaces the original content.

- →Social media posts that shared incorrect information are updated or corrected.
- →We credit readers, researchers, or institutions who identify genuine errors.

- 4. Your name (used for acknowledgement if the correction is published)
